- California-based Evotrex has unveiled its first travel trailer, the PG5.
- It has a Tesla-style NACS port, an LFP battery pack, an electric motor and a gas engine that acts as a generator.
- An off-grid RV trailer can charge an electric vehicle or keep the lights on indoors with a drive-thru feature.
Evotrex, a newcomer to the RV game, revealed its first trailer at CES 2026 in Las Vegas. the Evotrex-PG5 was announced late last yearbut we now have all the details on what the startup calls “the world’s first power-generating RV trailer designed for high-altitude, off-grid travel.”
This is a big claim, and I would take it with a grain of salt. However, the first trailer for the Evotrex is here to impress the RV community with great specifications and the lowest price among all the electrically assisted live trailers out there.
Let’s get the specs out of the way first. Two versions of the PG5 trailer are available, both of which come equipped with a 43 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, a two-axle setup powered by a single electric motor, and a Horizon gas-powered generator. The electric motor can assist while towing, limiting range loss to the vehicle in front of you, and the gas engine can kick in when needed to recharge the battery or keep the lights on.
Evotrex claims its trailer is vehicle-to-home (V2H) compatible, meaning it can act as a home generator when the lights go out. It can supply power from its battery or from the gas engine to the home’s main electrical panel. With a full tank of gas and a full battery, a total of 270 kilowatt-hours of power is available, according to the startup.

There’s a Tesla-style outlet and a NEMA 13-50 AC power outlet on the back, which can export up to 12 kilowatts of power to anything from appliances to other electric vehicles. In the more expensive version of the trailer, a second NACS port is placed in the front, and it can export up to 60 kW of DC power to an electric vehicle, but this power comes directly from the gas generator.
The top-spec model also comes with 1.5kW solar panels on the roof, an electrically operated roofed patio to the rear, a powered awning to the side, forged wheels, a premium interior and priority delivery.
According to Evotrex, the base PG5 trailer has a curb weight of 8,350 pounds and a vehicle dry weight (GVWR) of 9,500 pounds, while the more expensive model weighs 8,900 pounds and has a GVWR of 9,900 pounds. Both are 344 inches long, 96 inches wide, and 78.75 inches tall.
Inside there is a 60-gallon fresh water tank, a 30-gallon gray water tank, and a 30-gallon black water tank. The trailer can sleep four adults in two 80′ x 60′ beds – one a convertible bed and the other a residential-style queen bed. There is a dry bath complete with instant tankless water heater, 17,000 BTU heater, dual induction cooktop, 10 cubic foot refrigerator and freezer, all-in-one microwave oven fan, projector and 48-inch screen.
The Evotrex-PG5 is currently the most affordable electrically powered RV trailer in the United States. However, this does not mean that they are cheap, as apartments are rarely on wheels. Pricing for the base Pioneer model starts at $119,990, with deliveries scheduled for the second half of 2027. A fully loaded Atlas, which is expected to reach customers in the first half of next year, is priced at $159,990. Evotrex is now taking $500 refundable pre-orders.
That’s a lot of money, but it undercuts competitors significantly. Most affordable Gravel flow Prices for a trailer with an electric motor start at $139,500 Lightship’s AE.1 The Panos—the least expensive model with electric assist—starts at $151,000.
