Although Nissan has not yet officially revealed its new economic sedan, the leaked images give us the clearest look yet at what the company has been quietly working on over the past period.

In terms of design, the 2027 Versa looks more like a deep redesign than a completely new generation.

Despite these updates, it appears that the hood and front fenders have not changed.

New aluminum wheels add an extra touch of liveliness, while the car appears in the photos in a light metallic blue color known as Arctic Ice Blue Metallic.

What about the 2027 Versa’s cabin and engine?

No photos of the interior cabin were leaked, but it is expected that the 2027 Versa will get an updated dashboard, with the possibility of it being equipped with a digital instrument screen and an upgraded entertainment system in addition to more advanced driving assistance systems to keep pace with the requirements of this category.

It is expected that the 1.6-liter gasoline engine will return with 4 cylinders, but with strong odds that it will be available exclusively with a CVT after the manual transmission was canceled in the current generation.

The 2027 Nissan Versa will be produced at the Aguascalientes plant in Mexico instead of the CIVAC plant in Cuernavaca, which is scheduled to close by March 2026.

In the future, Nissan may consider returning the Versa to several markets, but this decision will depend largely on customs duties and trade policies, which may make pricing cars manufactured in Mexico a real challenge in terms of price competition.
